SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA – Doc Brown’s Time Machine Rental is partnering with Stand Strong (formerly to Women’s Shelter Program of San Luis Obispo County) to celebrate Stand Strong’s 40th Anniversary with the 80’s themed event Stand Strong and Celebrate on Saturday, May 4, 2019 from 11:00am-4:00pm at Talley Vineyards.

“Bringing out the Time Machine for the Stand Strong and Celebrate event is a natural fit for any 80’s themed celebration,” according to Doc Brown’s spokesperson, Nicolette Muñoz. “The Doc Brown’s Time Machine Rental family is a big supporter of Stand Strong and its mission of supporting survivors and ending domestic violence in San Luis Obispo County,” said Muñoz. Kirsten Rambo, Executive Director at Stand Strong added "We're honored that Doc Brown's is partnering with Stand Strong for this important 40th anniversary event and want to thank them for helping us to raise funds to end domestic violence and child abuse in San Luis Obispo County."

Doc Brown’s Time Machine Rental will be bringing out its 1985 DeLorean Time Machine model as well as some classic arcade games like Frogger, Ms. Pac Man, Donkey Kong and Dig Dug that guests will be able to play for free.

Doc Brown’s Time Machine Rental joins an entertainment line-up that includes the energetic and infectious grooves of Brass Mash and the totally awesome ‘80s dance tunes of the Molly Ringwald Project, as well as additional activities and exclusive prizes.
Tickets for Stand Strong and Celebrate can be purchased through the Stand Strong website at www.StandStrongNow.org For Sponsorship information, email Karen Borges at KBorges@StandStrongNow.org

About Stand Strong
Formerly known as the Women’s Shelter Program of San Luis Obispo County, Stand Strong has been serving the community since 1977, when two women in Morro Bay opened up their home to survivors of domestic violence. In 2017, the Women’s Shelter Program changed its name to Stand Strong to reflect the organization’s role in the bigger conversation of dismantling domestic violence in San Luis Obispo County – calling on all community members to come together and support one another with dignity, respect, and compassion. Stand Strong’s mission is to support survivors and end domestic violence in San Luis Obispo County.
